Now here’s an album that irritated my ears from the very beginning. From the first touches of that over-electronic and noisy production they can’t claim higher… Or should I say he cannot claim higher, as Carpe Tenebrum is in fact only Astennu (ex Dimmu Borgir). The music is some kind of Brutal Death Meta I guess, though the combination of ultra/fast drums, two tones guitars and low murmured vocals is quite bad and amateurish. As I mentioned from the very beginning the production is awful, with lots of noises and scratches… The cover is not so great either, to keep everything at the same low level.
