My Dying Bride - The Voice of the Wretched
Peaceville Records 2002
9/10

This is an official release of a concert that was recorded in Tilburg, March 4th, 2001. It contains songs covering all of the band’s albums, from classics like Symphonaire Infernus…,  Turn Loose the Swans, A Kiss to Remember and The Cry of Mankind to recent songs such as She Is the Dark or The Fever Sea. For amateurs of details and for the fans: this is the concert when Aaron & Co. played for the first time A Cruel Taste of Winter, a song that was recorded on their last studio album.  My friend Negru doesn’t particularly like Shaun’s drumming but I won’t say that’s a weak point. Besides, I think that the band’s last album shows him at his best. All in all, it was a pleasure listening to this album, presented in a very nice digipack format, and I’d say it is a must for all My Dying Bride fans.
