V/A - In Unison
- Irish Metal Collection
This
is a double CD containing (I quote) 19 of the best Irish Metal bands. I
for one am more and more interested into Irish Metal and this CD offered
me the chance to get deeper into their underground. I was already
familiar with some of the bands featured on this release (such as
Arcane Sun, Mourning Beloveth, Waylander,
Cruachan or Primordial) but it was a real pleasure to
discover new acts such as Kingdom or Lunar Gate, to
mention only 2 of them. I can only hope that I will hear from all of
these bands very soon. Of course, the quality of the recording varies
from band to band and styles range from folk metal to doom and black. I
think that everyone interested in discovering new metal ‘schools’ should
pay attention not only to this release, but to the Irish Metal scene, as
